You can still make an impact on Butler students!
Family Council

The Family Council is a representative body of Butler University families of undergraduate students, consisting of approximately 35 family members from various backgrounds and regions across the United States. Members serve as the voice and advocates of Butler families while also representing the University in their communities.

In addition, the Family Council sponsors the Leadership Impact Award program, which recognizes faculty and staff for their work with students. Members also assist with initiatives such as:

  • Admission recruiting and speaking with prospective/new families
  • Programming during Orientation and Family Weekend
  • Student mentorship
  • Participation in the Family Council committees of Advocacy, Communications, Programming and Awards and Recognition
  • Fundraising

Family Council Challenge

Join the Butler Family Council in supporting students and their needs! The Family Council is passionate about Butler and the positive, lasting impact the University, its faculty, and staff have on BU students. Participating in the Family Council Challenge unlocks a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $2,500, sponsored by council members David (MS ‘03) and Jamie Fryrear.

This challenge welcomes everyone who feels connected to the Butler Family to contribute to this Day of Giving initiative. All funds raised for the Family Council Challenge will go to the Office of Student Affairs and be allocated to programs and activities that directly support the experience of current and future Bulldogs.
