You can still make an impact on Butler students!
New Two-Year College

On November 3, 2023, Butler University announced the launch of a new two-year college that will increase access to higher education for historically underserved populations in the metro Indianapolis area. The college is being created in partnership with the Come To Believe Network (CTB), a national nonprofit formed to provide higher education institutions with an innovative yet affordable, results-oriented two-year model that is accessible to students who are underrepresented at selective universities. Students enrolled in the college can obtain their associate’s degree with little to no debt, and for those who elect to continue at Butler, most will be able to earn a bachelor’s degree for around $10,000.

The new college will be fully integrated with the broader University with its own dedicated faculty and staff to provide high-touch support to students enrolled in the program. The college’s curriculum will be rigorous and equivalent to the first two years at Butler and will additionally provide early intervention services, intrusive advising, and class schedules that accommodate students with work or other obligations. Students will be supported with career services including paid internships, mentorship, transfer coordinators, and other wrap-around services from day one to provide every student with the needed support to reach their academic and career goals.

The CTB model has a proven track record of success with students graduating at four-to-six times the national average for two-year colleges. Meanwhile, nearly 80% of CTB graduates continue on for a bachelor’s degree. The new college is slated to open in Fall 2025, and Butler seeks to enroll 100 students in the first cohort. Students will graduate with a career-aligned associate’s degree, earning credentials along the way with a pathway to a bachelor’s degree.

Thank you for considering a gift to Butler’s New Two-Year College Gift Fund today! Support for this college will allow talented students who have not previously had access the opportunity to experience the transforming power of a Butler education.
