$ 742,424 raised 2,050 gifts
Butler Arts and Events Center has raised $ 4,100 from 20 gifts!

The Butler Arts & Events Center (BAEC) is home to Butler University’s premier event facilities including performance venues, conference and meeting rooms, outdoor spaces, and guest housing. Each year, our performance venues welcome more than 300,000 visitors, led by Clowes Memorial Hall, which ranked 61st globally for ticket sales in 2025 - placing Butler on an international stage for live entertainment.

The BAEC is comprised of six distinctive performance venues, with construction beginning later this year on our seventh: the Allen Whitehill Clowes Ballroom. Our programming reflects the breadth and vibrancy of our community, featuring performances from Butler’s Jordan College of the Arts, Broadway in Indianapolis, Butler’s acclaimed lecture series, local arts organizations, and a wide range of national touring productions.

The Marquee Club

As a thank you for your generosity, all BAEC donors of $250 and above receive exclusive access to the Marquee Club for the upcoming year. The Marquee Club is our premier donor lounge, located at Clowes Memorial Hall, the Schrott Center for the Arts, and soon, the Whitehill Ballroom. Members enjoy complimentary concessions and an open bar for up to 6 guests, along with upgraded lounge seating to relax and connect before the performance and during intermission.

The Rose Circle

Launching in March 2026, the Rose Circle recognizes BAEC donors of $1,500 and above with an elevated variety of exclusive benefits. In addition to Marquee Club access at all performances for an unlimited number of guests in your party, Rose Circle members receive exclusive access to premium seating, five complimentary parking vouchers annually, a discount on Box Suite reservations at Clowes, and invitations to donor - exclusive events. Following completion of the Whitehill Ballroom, members will also enjoy access to a private, donor-only entrance at Clowes Memorial Hall.

How can you help?

Support the Butler Arts & Events Center by making a gift and joining a BAEC giving club!

Your donation to the BAEC plays a crucial role in bringing world-class arts and entertainment to Indianapolis. As a not-for-profit theatre, the BAEC depends on the generosity of our patrons to deliver exceptional performances to both the Butler University community and Central Indiana. Your gift helps the BAEC:

  • Offer free public performances, including the Free Community Movie Series
  • Present diverse, high-quality programming that enriches the cultural life of our community
  • Provide needs-based tuition assistance for students participating in BAEC camps and community programs
  • Remain the largest student employer on Butler’s campus, supporting experiential learning and career development
  • Complete vital renovations and facility improvements, ensuring our spaces remain welcoming and accessible
  • Subsidize the use of our venues for local Indy arts organizations through the newly established Arts Performance Fund. Learn more about the Arts Performance Fund here.

Your gift makes an immediate and lasting impact—on our students, our artists, and our community. Thank you for supporting live performance at Butler!
