The Office of Sustainability
The Office of Sustainability, developed from the Center for Urban Ecology and Sustainability, is working to create a culture of collaborative environmental stewardship at Butler, and aims to do so by, firstly, continuing to support students from all disciplines in their journeys to become change makers for environmental, social, and economic well-being. Through our campus wide sustainability initiatives such as sustainable grounds development, energy and waste reduction projects, Green programs, and internships, we are helping Bulldogs and the broader community to reduce their pawprint and to become agents of change.

Help us continue our work by donating funds to support our interns!
Currently, we offer internships for:
- The Campus Thrift Store: Blue’s Closet
- Campus Sustainability: Waste Reduction and Emissions Analysis
- The Farm at Butler
- Freewheelin’ Community Bikes
- The Global Center for Species Survival
- Touba Gardens
- Kheprw Institue
- White River Alliance
Our interns provide invaluable work to the university and our local community partners while gaining real-world experience in sustainability careers. However, several of these positions are unpaid. Your gifts to the Office of Sustainability will help us to financially support all our student interns and their projects.
