Strategic & Org Communication and Leadership
Students Call Us STRORG (str · org)

We’re the Strategic Communication, Organizational Communication and Leadership department. We show our students that the world of Strategic Communication is fast-paced, ever-evolving, and critical to master for media, government, and all businesses to connect with their audiences and energize stakeholders. Our Organizational Communication and Leadership program pulls back the curtain to show students how communication works within and between individuals, groups, teams and organizations in our modern world and workplace.

And we know this world changes quickly.

Your commitment to this department and its programs provides real-world access to experiential learning with local to global businesses, agencies and communities, while supporting our continuous efforts to activate and develop students’ passions and skills within our integrated program.

Tangible experiences inside and outside the classroom help us show students what they can achieve—and your support is essential as we continue to prepare students for their careers. Our engaged faculty encourage students to get hands-on experience from the first semester through graduation, often with multiple internships along the way. We show students how leadership involves communication at every level of an organization - whether big, small, for-profit, or non-profit. We do that while emphasizing the critical importance of embracing diversity and social responsibility.

Thanks for your support and giving!
